Η ιστορία του ξεκίνησε το 1955 στον Πειραιά, όπου κατασκευάστηκε από τον καραβομαραγκό Δημήτριο Ζαχαρία. Το μήκους 25 μέτρων και χωρητικότητας 48 τόνων ξύλινο πλοιάριο με τα δύο κατάρτια, νηολογήθηκε το 1965 στο λιμάνι της Αμμοχώστου, παίρνονταν τη ονομασία της αρχαίας Λάμπουσας, απ’ όπου καταγόταν ο νέος ιδιοκτήτης του.

The story of Lampousa started in 1955 in Piraeus Greece where it was made by the carvmaster Demetrios Zacharia. This 25 meters long 48 tons wooden ship with 2 masts, started working from the port of Ammochostos and took its name from the ancient Lampousa, from where the owner was from.
